Foods to Increase

  1. Grains - well/long cooked brown rice, oats, spelt, sweet rice, and pounded rice (mochi)
  2. Vegetables (carbohydrates rich) - winter squash, carrot, rutabaga, parsnip, turnip, garbanzo beans, black beans (properly soaked before cooking), peas, sweet potato, yam, pumpkin,
    • (pungent) – onions, leek, garlic,
    • dark (green leafy lightly steamed) - kale, collard greens, mustard greens, and Swiss chard.
  3. Spices – black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, fennel, nutmeg.
  4. Sweeteners (small amounts, occasionally) - Stevia, rice syrup, barley malt, molasses, cherry and date.
  5. Fats (only organic and high quality) – extra virgin olive oil, flax seed oil, sesame seed oil, organic butter ( only recommended dairy product).
  6. Fermented foods (with live enzymes) - miso, tempeh, natto, sauerkraut, homemade pickles, yogurt and “Kefir”.
  7. Animal products (in small amounts mostly prepared in soups)- mackerel, tuna, salmon, halibut, anchovy, beef (organic), beef liver or kidney, chicken, turkey, or lamb
  8. Food must be chewed well and taken in easily digestible form.
  9. All foods preferably ORGANIC!

Foods to Decrease

  1. Read meat
  2. Milk and dairy products
  3. Processed sugar (white sugar, sweet-n-low, equal and other sugars chemically treated).
  4. Processed wheat products, such as white flour.
  5. Salty foods
  6. Soft drinks
  7. Fried foods
  8. Coffee
  9. Alcohol
  10. Large meals
  11. Rich foods

Foods to Eat Sparingly

  1. Excessive raw vegetables
  2. Citrus fruit (lemons, oranges) and juices
  3. Cooling Foods- such as tomato, spinach, chard, tofu, millet, amaranth.
  4. Seaweed- (wild blue-green micro algae)- small amounts.
  5. Excessive very sweet foods
  6. Salt
  7. Nuts and seeds- small amounts
  8. Vinegar

Beverages

  1. Limit beverage intake with meals - Drinking liquids during meals dilutes gastric juices in stomach, and pancreatic juice in small intestines.
  2. Pure spring water
  3. Herbal teas - such as Nettles , Green tea, Dandelion.
  4. Carrot juice - to relax the pancreas in case of pain.
  5. Macrobiotic drink- Sweet vegetables drink; Carrot-Daikon drink (help to eliminate excessive fats)
  6. Rejuvelac - Enzymes (potent-live-organic acidophilus) for excellent digestion. A drink from certified organic wheat and rye fermented in filter water with over 45 billion acidophilus enzymes per 8oz. serving.
